Has this been posted before? Is it for real? How can the LS2 have such a 'fat' torque curve compared w/LS6?? This would imply the C6 is going to crush the C5 Z06.
From what I understood, the LS2 isn't going to have the triple valve technology. That is some soul crushing torque from the LS2 compared to the LS6 though.
The LS2 head is a 16 valve / 2 valve per cyl configuration.
Thanks for the post. That is exactly what I was waiting for! I have posted before that I was more excited about the torque curve the LS2 would make, then the peak hp/tq numbers. That new torque curve is sure going to make the new C6 easier to drive fast and feel more powerful when its just cruising around. It probably wont have to work it as hard as the LS6 to go as fast.
Wow, it really looks like it make a LOT more torque under the curve.
hp is calculated from torque.........how can the torque curves be so different yet the hp curves are similar? Answer is.......it can't, something's fishy. Now before anybody starts assaulting me, be sure and bring some math, because I've used superflow engine dyno's for the last 9 years. I've already proved that two aftermarket manufacturers were claiming faulty numbers simply because the two didn't add up in their published advertisements. People in buisiness expecting to take your money will actually show you a dyno graph where the hp number doesn't equal torque in ft./lbs x RPM / 5252. I guess buyer beware.
