1) I spanked the living crap out of a Sallen S-281
2) Beat a ZXR12 Ninja from a 70 punch (must have been in the wrong gear)
3) Met a C6 driver (engineer) that was out testing and tuning the car in my city.
Out of all the things he said..this is the conversation that stuck in my head the most.
me- So how do you think the C6 will do agianst a C5 Z06
him- We tried the best we can to make the Z51 package as close as possible as the C5 Z06. We might have been a tad short on performance, but it is still a very fast and fun car.
me- so, what do you know about the C6 Z06 (With a grin on my face..)
him- Well, that stuff has to be kept confidential, but you wont be dissapointed! Believe me!
me- Oh, well, i have heard some rumors about GM having a hard time getting 500 hp, and i have heard 480 hp is what the rating will be. Also, some rumors have it there will be some carbon fiber on the body, 6.4 or a 7.0 liter, etc.
him- WOW!! You must have real good sources to know this microscopic information. But ya, 500 HP is ALOT
So, from his last statement, i am getting the hint that there will be no 500 hp for the C6 Z06, atleast not the first year. Man, this 480 hp business is looking more promising..
Anyways, I have the video of the C6 he was driving around..got some comparison shots of my front end and his front end..and got him to rev it a few times..So, anyone would like to host the video? Its a great video.
Oh, and btw, the C6 is BEAUTIFUL in black and sounds AWESOME!!!!!!!!
i am not too impressed with yellow on the new C6.. i agree black would look dominating.. i think the C6 has to much styling to add a flashy color like MY or TR... lemans blue would look cool too..

Don't get caught up in the power, remember it is the power to weight ratio that makes us smile. It will allow better handling, braking, acceleration, a more nimble feel. etc etc.

I totally agree...480 hp at 3000 lbs = ~11.6-.7 1/4 mile bone stock and probably around a 119-120 mph trap speed.
