More c6 info

Air inlet is a dual inlet air bridge.

H pipe does not have cats attached like the C5 Cats on the c6 appear to be attached to the headers (I could not get that good of a look)

Oil pan does not appear flat like on the c5, but more of a traditional design. Oil filter is in the same location as on a c5.

Cats attached to the headers reminds me of the way cats were situated on my ZR-1. If true, you will not be able to legally run long tube headers on the new Z

When I modified my ZR-1, I did exchange the header-cats for a set of long tube headers with two cats further downstream. Unfortunately, the car could no longer pass emissions because the cats were now too far downstream to significantly light off...

Just a thought...

Well on the emissions setup, you may want to look into Collector's Plates in your state. In Ohio, we can apply for Collector's Plates that allow the owner to not need to pass emissions. The only restrictions on the car are that:

1) It cannot be your main driver.
2) No More than 10,000 miles a year

The fee is about $8-10 higher per year ... but it is worth it for not having to get emissions tests.
