Museum Delivery
If someone has mentioned this before I am sorry. Today, I changed the oil in my car since it has nearly 600 miles on it and I like to change the oil and filter during the first 1000 miles.
A few things I experienced while laying on the garage floor under the car. First, if Linda Hooker, the builder of my engine was the one to put the filter on she is one strong woman. Second, it is nearly impossible to find a PF 48 filter in the discount stores, I bought a STP 10060. This filter looks identical to the one I took off, same color and looks the same in side the filter. Third, I am glad I changed the oil when I did. I found the magnet drain plugs are doing their job and caught many iron particles, looked like the hair on the old Honest Charlie adds. And finally while laying on my back looking up at the bottom of the floor board I find a note writen in silver paint on the driver side. It appears the guys at the Museum, David,Steve and Cody added a few words,
"N. C. M. D."
"R 8 C P.D.I."
"10/11/06 Z06 # 87"
"By David Steve Cody"
I also notice that on the passenger side inner fender, in the engine bay, there is Z06 written in white crayon.
In thirty years when the NCRS judges are going over these cars there will be quite a controversy about all of the markings
