Re: need a new battery for an 08

I had a red top optima in my 03 Z and it worked great. I didn't drive the car much and never had a problem getting it started.

The truck has 2 yellow tops installed and they have been trouble free for 2 years.

Re: need a new battery for an 08

The battery is located in the right rear compartment of the hatch area.

It's amazing he knows he needs a battery, but doesn't know where it is located.

FWIW, my '07 Z, purchased in September of '06 has the original battery with no problems. It has now sat through two Michigan winters, and almost 16,000 miles!

Re: need a new battery for an 08

See your dealer for a warranty. They replaced the battery for free in my 02 just before the 3 year bumber to bumper warranty expired. That battery was still in there 4 years later when I sold the car. If you want the battery to last get a battery minder or battery tender.
