When I saw that back in early 05, I was going to paint my 05 like that. But I know I'd only have it for a year so I didn't.

check out the December issue of Corvette Fever from 2005....
it's in there too....(pg26) the whole issue featured Grand Sports!

I have a gallery on the car, but not sure If I can post the link?!

I'm working on a Convertible that will be done for the Cleveland Auto Show along with a special theme car to be announced!

The final picture of that coupe is not posted..with the Amercian Revolution sticker across the windshield, then it was complete!

** If you want to post a pic of your car, please create one without the url to your dealership in it. You are a non supporting vendor and pics with the dealership url in it will simply continue to be deleted. - mdickie **

I'm doing a few little touches to the inside of the convertible..it will be awesome!
Thanks guys

I love the idea but I would have executed it differenty.

The stripe must go all the way..

And the rims must be black...not black with chrome crap all over them.

thought about that....the stripe was an issue...and not sure what I'm doing this year....

the wheels though...the aluminum strip on the outside breaks the balck and black look...even the 96 had a small aluminum bead around it......

Thanks so much for the feedback - I do listen!

If you check out my sig you'll see my father and I have a 96 GS. While I did all black rims on my current Z06 with hashmarks because I dont like the silver lip...I can understand the lip. BUT...the lugs and nuts or whatever have got to go..but that's me.

WOW...camera quality went up in 10 years didn't it

yo evil....clean out your PM box...

Thanks a lot.

I bought them from a regular vendor..PFCY I think. I started it at about 2pm and ended up using a flashlight in the dark because i did it ALL DAY. I had to get it right and eventually it just stuck exactly how I wanted it. It looked so good I couldn't believe I did it. I'm actually taking them off tomorrow as it's going to be nice out and I've got to get it back to stock. I tried a few times real quick and it's very very stuck on there. The one I got had a template that gave you the distance to the light so you knew how far to do it. If yours came with a template than I guess I got mine from PFYC as well. I ended up not using the template and eyeballing it thoguh. Good luck to you..it's a bitch for sure.

-GEne

p.s. i may be selling those black rims if you're interested.

Anyways, Im in SF. Well away from you, and I wanted to know how you had the GS stripes applied to your fender. I purchased a set from PFYC.com and I tried to put them on myself but it was a total nightmare, they wouldnt stick no matter what, I followed the instructions and it was impossible.

Did you take your Z to a body shop? I want the GS stripe look, help me out if you can.

Thanks.
