New car odor in garage

I have just 350 miles on new Z06 and after driving and parking in garage a strong metallic odor eminates from the car for a few days. I'm assuming this is just new material coatings burning off, but this is stronger, and lasting longer than any other car I've owned.

Is this common? Thanks.

You know that odor is toxic, seriously! Its bad for your health. Get rid of the car, ill gladly pick it up from you.

Your car is still new - it'll take some time to go away. Try leaving its windows a bit open, or use an air cleaner (ionizer) if it really bothers you.

I always have a smell in my garage from my new ones too. My car is barely a month old and still has the smell. The smell I liken to that of paint, addhessive, and plastic. Corvettes always smell like this when they are new. I told my wife the other day "I love the smell of new Corvette in our garage." I guess that is why I keep buying a new one every year, because the smell wears off.
I doubt this is what you are smelling. (probably not the same thing since you said it smelled metallic)
