Anyways.. Yes the Museum Delivery and the Tour package is something my wife and I are interested in. The only thing is you have to go to the Museum twice. Once to order something or provide something and the next time is to pick up the vehicle. I live in New York and two trips to Kentucky is kind of hard. I am definately going to try and work it out. Either way.. I AM PSYCHED about a New Z06!

God bless everyone and have a SAFE AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!
Welcome Aboard! Where did you get the idea you had to go twice to the Museum? I thought you sat down with your dealer (or contact a Forum dealer), checked off option R8C (Museum delivery) and your dealer was supposed to do the leg work for you?

Don't believe everything you see over there! The guy above ordered his and picked it up at the museum. In fact he won it from them.

Welcome to the site! My first Corvette, as well. I have had 4 Camaro Z-28/SS's, though.

Thanks. Yes I too had a few camaros. I had a 69 Z28, 77 Camaro, and a 2001 Camaro SS street/strip with a 408 LME motor.

But it is time to move on to BIGGER AND BETTER things

Still Saving ... I think the two-trip deal is one trip to the plant if you want to watch your Z getting built (I think you actually get to start your own car) and then the trip a couple weeks later to pick it up at the museum.
The plant trip is NOT a perequisite for Museum delivery.

Yes I think this is what the person meant. I am sorry for misinterpreting it.

I would really like to go and watch the car made though. Oh, decisions decisions.

lol

Re: A Newbie Here

Steve,
Welcome to the site and good luck on your purchase decisions. Given what I've read from you, museum delivery sounds like a great option. Fly there and you and your wife can really enjoy the trip home in your new car.

Unlike you though, I've never let fear of payments stand in the way of a new car... I'm all for living for today! I was at my local Chevy dealer the other day doing some initial looking for a new truck for my wife (looking at either something that can tow like a Suburban or an crossover like the Acadia) and they had a blk/blk 07 Z06 sitting in the show room. Took all my willpower not to sit down and start negotiating with the sales manager.

LOL! I know the feeling. Also, I appreciate the warm welcome.

I used to be all about payments. I dont know what cash looks like anymore. Well, atleast I used to not know. Payments FOR ME wound up drowning me.

Between the credit cards.. 4 car payments, mortgage, household expenses yada yada yada it got to be too much.

I cut my ties with everything except for the house. I got rid of the 4 cars and bought two cheaper models for less of course. Got rid of my 01 Camaro SS which I still had payments on.. my 2006 BMW 330XI with I was making lease payments on, my 2007 Trailblazer SS fully optioned with biiig payment on ( i had negative equity when I bought that truck with a turn in on a 2006 Camry, and a brokered 69 Camaro Z28)

So.. I just bought a new Altima for my wife and a new Civic for me. Now comes then fun of saving for a full purchase of my corvette!

Eh, I am just whining right now. Dont listen to me. LOL
