Hi everyone. I am a Newbie to the Corvette world. I am still saving for an 08 or an 09 Corvette Z06. I want to buy it cash so it is taking me alittle bit to save. Not easy saving 70-80 grand cash LOL.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and let you guys know you have a really nice site here and I am glad to have found it. I am sure I will be a somewhat newbie type of poster. You know, questions but no answers LOL.
It's probably better if he doesn't drive one yet. It'll just make the wait that much harder.

Welcome to the madness!
Good luck in your saving activities. You can always win one from the Corvette Museum raffle like some lucky bastard I know

hi everyone. Thank you for the warm invite. I have never even driven a corvette period. LOL. I was in one awhile back as a passenger and I was hooked. I even sold my fourth gen camaro ss race car in preparation.

Re: A Newbie Here
Welcome to the site.
Very commendable to read your saving up to pay cash. Not many people do that nowadays. You'll certainly appreciate the car that way, and not having a monthly payment (with interest) is always good.
Have you thought of buying a used Vette? Most Vette owners take exceptional care of their "babies," and you'd save thousands of dead presidents.
actually I gave alot of serious thought to that idea of buying used. I have come across some REALLY well taken care of Z06's that are C6's and with very few mileage. The pricing is really cheap compared to brand new ones.
With this in mind, my wife and I decided the thrill of sitting down at a dealership and optioning out your own to the way you like it. The color you want. And then getting a call when the car arrives at the dealership and the place goes over the car with you, it was just too much thrill there to not go that route.
I am sure after my first Corvette, I will be tired of that thought. But for now, I am Obsessed with it. LOL.
I have bought most my cars new BUT always had a car payment. I have never bought a car in cash. This time, I am doing it right even if it takes me longer then I plan on. Whenever it does come true, I will be one happy man.
Your site has shown me alot of love here and I appreciate it. The Corvette personnel versus the Camaro/Firebird scene seems so much more mature and advanced. I am excited to one day join the elite.

Better yet, take museum delivery and then drive that bad boy home.

Exact same thing I was thinking. Sounds like he is pretty excited about picking it up at the dealer. I have seen a few museum deliveries and they really go over the car with the new owners. I think it would be a cool experience too.

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas or whichever holiday you celebrate! My wife is soo cool. She is so supportive she even bought me a Corvette History Book with the 2007 Corvette bookmarked saying WE WILL GET IT. LOL I love her.
Anyways.. Yes the Museum Delivery and the Tour package is something my wife and I are interested in. The only thing is you have to go to the Museum twice. Once to order something or provide something and the next time is to pick up the vehicle. I live in New York and two trips to Kentucky is kind of hard. I am definately going to try and work it out. Either way.. I AM PSYCHED about a New Z06!
God bless everyone and have a SAFE AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!
