OEM C6 Z06 Wheel Locks

Hello all,
Well, I now have 350 miles on my new Z...and I get about 80% more grins per mile than I used to get on my `01 Z.
Questions for you guys...
My new Z came through without OEM wheel locks and my dealer has no info on them. Did GM really drop them? Will the C5 locks fit the Z06 lugnut wheel chamfer? Any ideas on how to get some OEM locks? Several aftermarket sets available but I really liked the GM locks that I had on both my `92 and my `01 Z.

Yes, GM did drop them. Just buy a set from GM parts and see if they work. I bet they will be fine.

Wheel Locks were eliminated on about 2/25/02. Before that they had locks and the plastic caps that matched the wheels; afterward, plated lug nuts.

Interested to hear as well. I was going to buy a set like I did last time. Had them on the 02, swapped them to the 04 and forgot to grab them when I sold it for the 06....

Update on Wheel Locks

Hello all,
Ordered locks through GM Parts, as JBP8653 suggested and they are fine. Just what I was looking for...same quality as OEMs that were on my `92 and `01. Guess they were made by McGard but came in GM blister-package. They go nicely with the other lugnuts. ( except the one in the drivers seat)

I don't think mine came with wheel locks.

Same here. So, will the C5 wheels locks fit the C6???? I have a brand new set for a C5 but haven't attempted putting them on the C6Z yet.

Two thoughts regarding C5 OEM wheel locks on C6s:
1) I'd check with a GM parts counter to ensure that mating profiles are the same...I suspect they are but would want to be sure.
2) The C5 locks will have external threads to accept the screw-on plastic dress caps. The C6 locks are chromed with a smooth exterior. Even if the profiles of the C5 locks will mate, it depends on how you want the the "look" to match.

I just picked mine up. I would hate to walk outside and have my rims and tires gone. Dealer said it would take months to get original polished rims. As it is, he's a month behind on roof tops. I guess I could get them back from the Camaro with Corvette emblems

I use Gorilla locks on my C6/Z06 & my new E63 AMG Benz.

These wheel locks are the best wheel locks made.

You can Google to find out all the info you need...
