I don't want to burst your bubble, but I think you're still a bit early for the great deals. Here are my thoughts, other opinions may vary. You see a lot of Z's on Ebay right now because those people all think that they'll STILL get huge money for their cars. I'd venture to guess that most of those cars you see have high reserves and won't sell at auction. There are probably several dealers that had not put cars on Ebay before that have since changed their minds and have cars listed now. Foot traffic on their showroom floor isn't moving the cars at MSRP plus, so they're hitting Ebay in hopes of getting the markups before prices start to come down more. The time is getting closer, but I don't think we're there quite yet.

You can walk in and order an MSRP car right now at some dealerships. Other dealers that have stock on the floor are getting more for them or are trying to. Not every Joe off the street will drop 70K plus for a car so it's only a matter of time. Take your time and pick one up at MSRP or ?

I think your best bet is a new 2006 at sticker, or get on a list at MSRP for a 2007 and wait. People who will pay over sticker want the new 2007 not a 2006 and that's why you see a lot for sale now. They want to get out of the 2006's before there are 2007's all over ebay. Either way there are no "DEALS" on Z06's unless you consider MSRP a deal.

Maybe true but

Crazy dealers are trying real hard to get MSRP or a little less for used Z'S .... and private owners are worse by asking above that...As many Z'z that bare on ebay.... not enough buyers to purchase.... what will happen is that since the cars are already profitable if sold at MSRP for a dealer ...the dealers will be letting the cars go below MSRP real real soon ... and this will ofcourse tumble down to the used ones....which will be at probably less then 10% down off original sticker for less then 10k miles... those with higher miles will be hurt more since... who wants to pay anywhere close to MSRP for a car with 10k
plus miles..... yes these dealer will see the wrath soon... realizing there big money days are going away....on the other hand i dont see these cars going below 50k for atleast a couple of years....

There's a guy in my neighborhood that is in his second already. Bought at slightly >MSRP, drove 2K then found someone to buy at 5K over what he paid. Turned around and picked up his 2nd, again at 2K over and just told me that he would "let it go" for 80.
Not to me he won't.
This dealer markup sh!t is really messing up the market and it will be awhile before it gets straight.

I really have to appreciate the dealers who didn't jump on the gouging wagon. There are some stand up people around.

Yeah the market value is just crap. But oh well, a free economy allows this. I hear this from every dealer. I tell him that's why a free economy allows me to not buy one, and just keep on waiting. One day One day. I think it's crazy how now all nice cars dealers are trying this on. Simply amazing.
