Make it white and that's my car when my fenders get here. Now I know what it will look like.
Or is that white?
Nice job Vinnie.

You guys are funny. If GM had come out with the FRC, top speed would have suffered, and you just KNOW that a bunch of people will be upset. Imagine this: "I'm not gonna pay that kind of $ for a car that can't get to 200 mph, or at least close to it."

Furthermore, if the backend had been like Vinnie did it, people will say: "Damn, it's a new generation, why's the back the same as the C5?"

There's just no pleasing everybody on everything. But GM did an excellent job, considering all the positive press the car has received, and it's not even out yet. Corvette fans can be the toughest critics of the car they love so much.

I personally love the FRC styling! Can't hit 200mph in a C6 Z06 FRC....add more power then.

The new C6 Z06 is an awesomely stunning car....

Both great....yet the photoshop is kinda cool...

Aftermarket could kick in replacing the fastback hatch with an FRC that bolts in...

I doubt anyone would spend the two grand to have it installed though....Do U?

Although I was disappointed when GM decided to do away with the FRC I don't like the way it looks here from photoshop (great job doing it), something just doesn't look as sleek as it should.

Agree with others on the rear - the new look separates it from the C5 completely.

Either you love the new look or hate it.

I've had a convertible and a FRC Z and now I'm ready for a coupe especially one with 505 hp.

FRC Tom!

Tell me more about the fenders! Are they a special custom order?

Same company that builds the side flares?

I really like the look with the FRC!

Here is the original C6 vs FRC study I did when the first rumours surfaced.

While the "Eurothised" short overhangs may turn Mr Hill an dco on, it would have been nice to see a unique solution to the "reducing rotaitonal inertia" problem.

C6 Coupe

Current C6 profile in FRC

Better proportioned C6 Coupe profile

"Fixed" C6 profile FRC

While the C6 and C6 Z are the "current dest Vette" designs, the C5 FRC profile still does it for me.

Unless they shipped a car similar to this...

Interesting points, but my reason for the photoshop work was not only based on my disapproval of the way the car looks, but the many comments I've heard from many of my friends that own C5's. I don't have a problem that there is no FRC C6 Z, but alot of people love that look, and could care less if the car has a 5mph less top speed.

On the flat rear of the C6, GM could have rounded out the rear of the car slightly and still look different than a C5. Instead it looks more like a C4 from the eighties, with cheap looking round tail lights.

Overall GM did an awesome job with the cars performance, but like with most GM cars and trucks these days, the styling department keeps missing the mark.

I am definitely liking your version, Kingpin! Not that I have anything wrong with the current version.
