I saw the plate holder in the American Sportscar mag that we get after buying a Corvette.
I can't believe that's the answer, it looks bad. I wonder why they didn't design it like the C5 so it doesn't stick out as an eyesore for those of us required to wear a front plate. If you had any doubts about the front end before you will really have them after screwing that box on.
I guess I'm still on the fence about the C6.
I'm sure there are some aftermarket companies grinning from ear-to-ear right now. They've probably come up with some much sleeker designs and will cash in when the C6 hits the market.
I heard that GM is trying to redesign the front plate holder now after the backlash it got after showing it to customers...
Mark
Unfortunately due to the design they have for the front there are only three options, above the grill, on the grill or under it. None of them is going to look great.
Actually GM just designed the car for all those people living in PA where a front plate is not required.

That's funny. Didn't anyone realize that it was a piece of crap when they were developing it though? Kind of scary if you ask me.
I kind of wish that they'd redo the front end. Maybe if they get enough shit about it. The headlights and hood are all right, but the front nose piece needs to go. Hopefully the aftermarket will have something that looks good.

Anything GM designs that has to sit against the hood will scratch the paint over time. That does not thrill me! Considering how many states have front plate laws, didn't GM take this into consideration during the C6's front end design? The front plate areas on the C4 and C5's worked...hello GM those designs worked.
Or couldn't you just design some sort of refective hologram front plate for the car? Something where it projects an image from the rear plate to the front. Hey....maybe I'm on to something here!
Honest officer, I think my plate must have blown off!!!!
Good one! ...but does anyone know what the deal is in Massachusetts? I always thought that front and back were required, and they give you two plates when you register your car, but I've seen a lot of people driving around without the front plate, and they haven't gotten arrested yet...
