Ready to Dive in!!

Hi,I'm considering purchasing a new '08' Z06,dealer called,said there getting one for stock,in the color/wheels/pkg I like,selling way below list(we will see)
have a '02' Z06 for trade(we'll see how they play the "Number's Game")anyhow I have 2 question's; does the '08' have any "Issues's",like (2001 Z06
piston's/rings)...I've read on the forum that there where a few with motor problems (making a small block into a big block could have serious consequences)2nd question;MSRP for a 2LZ,chrome wheels,& nav. is
about approx.77K,it seems some dealers are taking 7K off sticker,is this the going rate for discount in the NY long Island area?? THX for any Info.

Re: Ready to Dive in!!

I think you should keep the '02 and tell me the dealer's info!!

No, I'm just kidding!! Sounds like you have a pretty good opportunity. The question of "making a small block into a big block" is not really an issue. These motors are very reliable packages, go get it!!

If I were to be looking, I would check a few online dealers and verify the pricing. But it doesn't sound too bad to get 7K off.....

Good luck!! Post some pics after you have it.

Re: Ready to Dive in!!

Kerbeck in New Jersey is giving 8400 off msrp on a loaded Z plus 3.99 financing. xxxxxxxxxxxKerbeck Corvette xxxxxxxxxxxx That's who I look at to see what they should be going for as they are about the most aggressive in the country and the largest Corvette dealer. They are advertising 4000 off a 427 Special Edition right now too. Good luck.

Re: Ready to Dive in!!

Thanks guys,if I can get at least 7k off,and a reasonable trade-in offer(ya right!)I'll consider local dealer(who I dealt with before)...but I will mention
Kerbeck in NJ as a bargaining chip!...we shall see!

Re: Ready to Dive in!!

went to dealer, got great #'s on trade in,and price of new car, final "Real price"
remains to be seen, but I know all the #'s,only stumbling block is "WIFE"!
she don't like color,she don't like price(of course),car rides to harsh(its a sports car!),no room for in-laws!!...Yada Yada Yada...to bad I can't trade in my wife,but like trading in a Used SUV,there'e no re-sale market!!
