Rear Tire Wear??

I recently bought a 2004 z06/z16 and the rear tires have worn to the cords on the outside of the tires only. Still alot of tread left on inside of tires and car only has 5000 miles. Please help me with suggestions.

If the cords were showing on my tires, I would replace them immediately. You might want to get the alignment checked as well.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new car.

Re: Rear Tire Wear??

Sounds like you need an alignment.

Congratulations on the CE Z16 and welcome to
Agree with what they ^^^^^ said.
You'll want a 4-wheel alignment.
How are the fronts?

Re: Rear Tire Wear??

sounds like a real bad alignment. Althought, it's kinda distrubing having that much tire wear with only 5k.

New tires and then an alignment. In that order. Congrats on the new ride and welcome aboard.

Re: Rear Tire Wear??

thanks for the advice. Goodyear F1s were on 8 week backorder from tirerack so I did Toyo T1R all the way around and had aligned to spec.
