Saw Red C6 Sunday Afternoon

I was taking a nice Sunday afternoon cruise around BG & Warren Co today and as I turned onto College St near the WKU campus saw a bright red C6 coupe. As I pulled out and turned at the intersection, I waved at the driver. He appeared to be about middle aged with grey hair and mustache best I could tell and wearing a bright red shirt. I think he waved back. Gosh if I know who that could've been.

Oh gosh, Dave... something. What is his last name? This was just as we both were heading up "The Hill" towards Western. Now what is his last name?

Btw, on your next visit to BG this Summer for the NCH, Z06 Fest, NCM 10th birthday or anything else, take the wife and/or kids to Beech Bend for a couple hours. The new Splash Lagoon is open. It's kinda like the RSAC waterpark on the other side of town, but with 3 large waterslides now that you can go down on your back or one of the several dozen inflatable tubes. The waterslides and a new shallow depth wading area with a bunch of water toys for the little tikes. The wife(or husband)and kids can be chillin there while you're drag racing a few hundred yards away. It's one of the places I went and tried out this PM just before heading back into town and having that close encounter with the C6. And no, this is NOT an advertisement.

And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

Great Encounter
I am from St. Catharines, Ontario where the Corvette motor is built [ so they tell me ] Anyway last month one of the engineers drove a C6 home and I got a chance to drive it. My initial feeling was that the car was much smaller interior wise and the ride was very smooth. Tranny was beautiful, very close and quck shifting. the car felt un Vette like though.
The next week I bought a Z16, which to me looks much better and has more power and room. Maybe the C6 will grow on me but at least I have the Z06 for now.

Zedhead: Yes, all Corvette (and other) engines are assembled at the St Catherines Gleandale Ave GM plant. How do I know? My wife and I have going to the "Inn at Lock 7" Motel," for over 26 years, and have attended the engine plant open house tours several times. I believe this year's engine plant tour and car show is set for August 4th..See you there?
