Same here. I get 17-18 around town, not many long trips except bringing her home from dallas at 25mpg with 365 miles on the odo.

That is the C6Z. I have a moderate foot.
The TT C5Z is getting really bad fuel mileage. I'm having my buddy retune it. It is pig rich.

Re: so how many MPG do you all really get?
On a recent trip I drove a full tank slightly over 90 mph (western interstate). Miles were divided by actual gallons showed 25 mpg. Next tank was at slightly over 70 mph (rural two lane) and I got 27.2 mpg. This is with a Killerbee and tune making a little over 470 at the wheels.

Stock C6 Z06. 25-30 on the highway (maybe a bit upwards of 30 if speeds are low, say 60mph). maybe 15 around town.
Pretty awesome for a car that's faster than a 911T or an F430.

The DIC calculation is inherently accurate, unless you've messed with the PCM program or changed tire sizes (and didn't correct the PCM).

Re: so how many MPG do you all really get?
I got 26 mpg on a 5,000 mile trip earlier this year to Tucson and usually drove about 10 mph over the speed limit.

Re: so how many MPG do you all really get?
Well, I suppose that is my problem. I tend to cruise around 100-110mph the entire time and downshift to blast around people

Re: so how many MPG do you all really get?
stock 08 Z:
track 7.9mpg
fun driving about 15-18mpg
hwy 25 at 70-75mph
All calculated at the pump. The DIC is generous by 1-2mpg.

Re: so how many MPG do you all really get?
Did anybody notice that GM actually LOWERED the EPA fuel economy city/highway ratings for the 2008 model year? They went down to 15/24 but prior to the 2008 model year, I think they were 16/26. This is supposedly because of a new test standard - more realistic of actual driving conditions -imposed by the EPA which affected ALL manufacturers selling cars in the U.S.

Re: so how many MPG do you all really get?
I did. They are much more accurate imho than the old numbers. The best MPG I've ever had was 24.3 for hwy at real life hwy speeds (75)..I'm sure at 55 we'd get upper 20's, but then again, I'd jump out and kill myself, so the hospital bill would offset the gas savings.
Track update... 7.4
..
This was the best of 3..Mitsu Evo E85 = 11hwy, 4 track; C5Z track = 6 I think. This is probably because I was in a lower gear and thus lower revs for many of the laps....
The C6Z. America's Track Economy Star
Oh, and the other evo driver at the track got a 138mph ticket on the way to the track. Guess he couldn't wait.
