So the local dealer calls me yesterday!!!!!!

I get a call yesterday afternoon from my guy at the local Chevy dealership yesterday telling me to get my checkbook out. After almost 3 years they finally get a C6Z and they offer it to me, telling me that they will beat anyone's price, anywhere in the country! It's a Black/Black 2LZ.....not sure what wheels are on it, but will find out today along with the price. I'm not interested, but if anyone here is, I'll post up the pricing and particulars on the car and put you in touch with the right person.....

I got one of those calls last Thursday, 3 weeks after I bought my car. They told me that they could let it go for under $83k. I almost laughed when he told me that. I told him to go on line to to see what C6 Z06 prices are going for and call me back.

I never heard back from him.

Actually Maxi Price did call me back, but 2 weeks after I bought my car.

at least you got a call back. I actually called them and asked for a price since their website said call for price. I guess Matt (the sales person I spoke with on the phone) is still trying to find his notebook with the price or Steve (sales manager and I called after Matt didn't call back) still hasn't gone through all of his voice mails.

it just amazes me when I hear some of the stories from the dealers.

and you would THINK they want to sell a car huh?

sometimes I think I am set in my mind what my limit is on something, but all it takes is somebody responding to what I REALLY want outta the deal and then anything's open to negotiation

Went to check out the car this morning, 2LZ with Nav and Chrome wheels, and its an '09! Sticker is in the mid 78k range,,,,they're talking around 6k off of that right now,,,,I'm sure it'll get better with time, especially when the floor plan starts eating their lunch! With all the unsold '08's at dealers
around the US, I was surprised to see an '09 here this early in July.

08's? There are still 07's out there that still hadn't been sold. Those should be a good deal...unless you find a sucker that pays sticker for it.

Some dealers are discounting 12k off MSRP. There has never been a better time to buy a car! Recessions have good points.

Picked mine up last weekend from Sopp Chevrolet in Bell, CA just outside of LA.

$77920 sticker '08 Machine Silver w/Blk interior 2LZ, NAV w/Chromies

Picked it up for $65,750 with $2K GM "End your lease early" incentive

He had another '08 2LZ Blk/Blk they'd be willing to part with as well. Probably get a killer deal on that as well.

They still had 2 '07 Z51's (Black & Red) they were selling for $45k.
