The small ones at the top of the door panel are 3 1/2" as is the Center on on top of the dash. The big door speakers are 10 1/4". The two rear speakers are 5 1/4"
That's correct on the two 10 1/2" they are a very shallow mount and will hard to find a replacement. But I know guys have done it.
I didn't replace mine cause they are pretty good subs. I did replace the others, 3 1/2 with JL's and the 5 1/4 with focal. and
keep my bose amp. sound really good.

Reason: add info.
So a little update and anyone just feel free to chime in.....Talked with a buddy that has years of stereo install experience and he really recommends just adding an amp and sub and keeping the factory speakers and just connecting them to the new amp......Just seemed to me like I needed to upgrade the stock speakers.....But this could save me a ton of money.

This is exactly what I did recently. JL Audio custom fit sub with a JL Audio amp. The amp input was tied into the rear speakers I believe. Left the stock stereo, nav, speakers. I'm pretty darn happy with it. I'm sure it could sound better if I ripped out and replaced everything, but that would be quite a bit more $$$ and present a number of challenges.
Thanks Vettedriver......Glad to hear you like it. I guess I just always thought replacing everything was preferred, but then again when you go to a stereo store, they of course want you to replace everything. I had found some pretty fairly priced speakers to do some replacing with, the only challenge was going to be the lower doors, but there is a mounting plate made for it. Getting my box, sub and amp installed next Saturday.....I will add pics.
I'll sum it up, stock system sucks!!!! Hi dollar car crappy sound go figure!!!!
Sorry, have to disagree.
This isn't a $10,000 entertainment center but the sound is not bad at all.
I think sometimes we forget what this car was built for...speed and performance.
That means as little weight as possible.
Might try a CTS or a Benz if your looking for the highest quality sound systems. They don't mind having the extra weight of the 'entertainment goodies'.
The Camaro with manssong if that's the way it's spelled, is way better. Hell the mustang gets the Sony Xploid, great sound the high priced ZO6 in my case crappy Bose no highs no lows it must be Bose. They should stick to making aviation headsets, love mine in my Super Viking. Fast noisy airplane needs such comfortable headsets. But for the vetts they stink!
I just purchased my 2007 ZO6 about 3 months ago. I love the car but the stock stereo does leave a bit to be desired, in my opinion. I won't argue with anyone that the engine sound is where it's at, but a little better interior acoustics is what I am looking for. My system is completely stock and I don't want some young punk at the local car stereo store messing with it. I was wondering if anyone who has simply added to the system (with an amp or sub) has had good luck or not. And if so, what did you use? Thanks for any input you have.
I added a Z06 sub box for a 10" JLW3 and a JL Audio HD900/5 that is mounted against the back wall above the battery comparment and a new Pioneer AVIC 4300 DVD double DIN head unit (No NAV).....I found a local guy that used to work for professional stereo shop, I requested pictures of his work, felt good with it and let him go for it, he had it for a day, completely DynoMatted the entire car with seats out, door panels off, etc....I definetly urge you to consider the same, because my 10" JL Audio with the amp absolutely kicks so hard, my car would be rattled and shaken loose by now if not DynoMatted. But no changes made to front, mid or rear stock speakers......Just added sub, amp and head unit for fade and balance control and upgraded look and signal. Hope this helps......Email me for pics. mikedcarroll@procarfitness.com
Unless you change the dimensions of the "listening room" and decrease the noise (i.e. signal to noise), I don't see how high end audio can be so appealing in a car.
I was surprised when I heard how good the LZ1 stereo was, especially the bass. Not to compete with my home system, but then again, I can't sip a Manhattan and listen in the car either ; )... But to each his own. If we were all content, there'd be no forum posts or mods.
I do think Led Zep sounds better at 120 tho, bra...
