Should i go for a stock C6 Z06 or get me a C6 Z51 and modify it with the extra $25K?

I'm just asking you guys cus you already drive the Z! I know if you mod a C6 to develope the same output of the Z06, the Z06 will be faster for sure. That has been proven by all C6s that have been modded by the different aftermarket tuning companies. I'm really considering the new Z but I'm really disturbed by the rear-end problems some are getting! I'd rather wait till GM sorts things out.

You got to decide what is most important to you.

For me,
I'd rather have a C6 Z51 with headers, CAI, tuning, and gears AND have $20k+ left over for investing or for future mods.

I'd also prefer do a forced induction conversion (TT or Kenne Bell) to my Z51 for about $10k and outperform the 06 Z instead of forking over $70k++ for the Z.

But,
if you could care less about money,
and you INSIST on your car being 100% stock,
the Z is an AWESOME car if you can swallow the MSRP.

I couldn't.

I'd rather wait for the bugs to get worked out of the Blue Devil/SS, C6 ZO6, and the C6 forced induction systems while I enjoy the 400 hp Z51 and the OPEN TOP OPTION.

In a few years I will be driving either a used SS/ZO6 or a twin turbo/kenne bell coupe.
For now,
I'd go coupe.

Just one man's opinion.
