"Synchro Shift II from BG Products"

Anyone ever use this stuff? A friend of mine just started working for them, and swears it will smoothen things up quite a bit... gave me some for free... just curious if anyone ever used it...

says it's good for:

transmissions, transaxles, and transfer cases... ???

From the website:

BG Syncro Shift® II BG Syncro Shift® II is a gear lubricant specially formulated for front wheel drive (does it matter?) manual transmissions. It does not sacrifice any performance as does engine oil, ATF or conventional gear oil. It provides required thermal stability, low-temperature fluidity, hot rattle suppression, noise dampening at operating temperature, outstanding extreme pressure characteristics, shear stability, smoother shifting characteristics, wear reduction (synchronizer, gears, bearings, shift fork), seal compatibility, and reduced maintenance costs.

I replaced the fluid in my 2002 Z06 with Synchro Shift and noticed a substancial improvement in shift performance. I was using Royal Purple synthetic prior to switching. Good luck.

What kind of improvement? Smoother? I was thinking of going with a short throw, and then switching my fluid to this to keep some smoothness, but have it tight and fast.... make sense'?

It feels easier to go in gear. I have a B&M short throw in my car and it just seems like its easier to slide into gears. From my past history, BG makes some wonderful products. 44K is hands down the best fuel system cleaner available. What short throw are you looking at?
