I'm 6'6" and the C6 Corvette is a little too tight for me.
I can drive it but the seat should be a little lower and a little more further back as stock.
Is there a chance to modify the stock seat and / or the rear firewall?
Is there a smaller -original- steering wheel?
It has not to be a ZO6 and I can imagine that a Targa or a convertible have a thinner roof. I just tried a ZO6 and my head was 1/2" from the roof

I've driven the C6 Z06, the Coupe, and the Convertible and I'm 6'4" give or take. I personally don't care for Convertibles, but I found my head rested against the rear targa support in the Coupe and amazingly I somehow fit in the Z06. Don't think I could do it if I were any taller though.

What is your actual car?
I drive a convertible 98 Trans Am and I had to modify the seat rails

I haven't made it into the covette club yet. But I can be a determined sob when I want to be. Right now I'm in a 2002 Camaro where I also stick up into the area where the T-top panels sit. Sadly when you hit our height, a lot of vehicles just don't have the headroom...

It's good mine is a convertible and the top is just 1/2" thick and very soft Just don't ask me what happens in case of an accident.
The previous car was a 91 Firebird and I removed a 1" foam layer from the seat.
I could fit better in the car but it was less comfortable too.
Sure I could do the same with a Corvette... but it's maybe not a good idea to mess with those seats.
What about racing seats? they are lower but probably only for race and not for driving too long.
Do you know it it exist a smaller steering wheel with the same functionality as stock? (airbag, switches...)?
I too am 6'6" and 270 lbs., but I guess it depends on wether you have longer legs or torso. I have an '07 Z06 that I fit in, although I'm not really comfortable wearing a helmet during tracking/autocross events. I am very comfortable on long trips. My C5 seemed to have had more shoulder room, but I can get by in the new Z.
Where there's a will, there's a way!

I am 6'4 245lbs and I dont have a Z06 yet but I have a 99Z28 and a 97 Cobra thats pretty tight. So seeing the Cobra is so tight for space I am having 2 Sparco Evo XL bucket seats installed next month. I think these seats are light weight and look damn good and once installed will make the sitting position lower and I will get the shop to set it a little further back for me.
I'm 6'4" and a very broad-shouldered 290 lbs. I don't have long legs (33" inseam). My Z fits better than any other sports car I've had though, when I lean back my head will graze the roof.
You might look into some aftermarket seats. My last car was a Cobra that had Corbeauss. I'd ridden in Cobras w/ stock seats and felt like I was plastered against the windshield. W/ the Corbeaus I had what felt like a bunch more room.
