Given that my ZR1 will be in-bound shortly, I have begun gathering numbers on my '08. $52K on the low end, $58.5K at the top. Interesting given that my car is a 3LZ with right at 7,100 miles, originally purchased in December. I knew the car would take a hit in the first year, but near 20% is pretty dramatic (though no where near depreciation on exotics.)
That is not very encouraging. I have seen 06's on ebay for 55,000 so I thought we would be in the 60's w/ an 08. I recently thought of selling and backed out of the idea because I'm not willing to give away that much so soon. I'm holding on but I'm not moving up to a ZR1 either. I have a friend who is moving into a Porsche 911 and they took his trade now before his car is even ordered. He is still 5-6 mnths from getting his car and they have had his car for over a mnth. He felt it was safe to lock in his #'s in case things get worse. Is that an option for you w/ the ZR1?? Then you wouldn't lose the tax advantage.

Anyone seeing better/worse numbers on their '08?

Keep the Z06 and wait a year for the ZR1 to drop in price and you'll get feed back also on the car. Time is on your side.
I just traded a similar '08 ZO6 with 6,800 miles, and got $60K for it. Trade-ins are tricky, but I think this is a real number. I had previously negotiated $6K off the sticker of the new car, so I believe this is a pretty fair example of what you might expect. I advertised it for a month at the same price and did not receive a single inquiry.
I have been shopping for a new Z for a couple of weeks now. Since most any dealer will sell a new 08 Z for invoice and some selling for GMS (about $3K below invoice) it drags the price of our used cars down. Good for people buying but not for people selling or trading in.
Also the base price for the 09s went up about $2K. Of course the prices they are asking for the ZR1s right now are :jawdrop:
