Uneven rear tire wear

The rear tires on my 2006 ZO6 show twice the wear on outside 1/3 of tire than on inside 2/3. Pressure kept at 29 to 30 - no track time - street driving. 12,700 miles on tires. Fronts wearing evenly with tread equal to inside tread on rears. I had an NSX that wore tires unevenly due to factory alignment settings for optimum handling. Is there a way to prevent uneven wear on next set of rear tires? Can the rear tires be swapped in a way to even the wear?

Re: Uneven rear tire wear

It's the factory alignment. It sucks for street driving. My first set of rears lasted 7500 miles with cord showing. My second set of rears lasted another 8000 miles with cord showing. Had it aligned and had Mich PS2's installed. Much better all around so far.

Did the bump steer decrease with the new Michelin PS2's installed?

JB...yes it did. But I also have QA1's in back and that helps immensely compared to the stock shocks.

Thanks for the response. OK - I'll admit I don't know what "bump steer" is. Please explain and will a Chevy garage know how to align or is it better to find a local shop that knows what they're doing.

Re: Uneven rear tire wear

Its what it says:

You hit a bump, and because of bad suspension geometry, your car automatically steers
