Hello, this is my first post here. I don't have a Corvette yet, but I am a fan. I've been lurking for quite a while, and the whole Vette vs Viper controversy finally got me to sign up. The only forum I post at is Xbox365, and a week or two ago I had an argument with someone over the same thing. Anyway, I had made a list of pictures comparing the two cars and I figured I might as well post it here too. It isn't perfect, but it's by far the best comparison I've seen yet.
I personally don't think they look alike. The C6 looks like a Vette and the Viper looks like a Viper, but if there is any resemblance I believe it's because the Viper is becoming more Vette like. The reasons for this, as a few people have said before on the forum, is because of how close the C6 is to the C5 and because of the massive change the Viper went through. I believe the C6 is a C5 with styling queues from older Vettes, a few concept Vettes(like the tigershark and whiteshark), and it also has a few similarities to some aftermarket Vettes(Avelate and Callaway). I do believe the headlights look like they were off of a Ferrari though(Modena?).

Nice comparison. I totally agree w/ your outlook on the c6 and if or if not it resembles the viper. I think ppl need to check these cars out in real life... because from what I saw the corvette screams corvette w/ some Modena lights. The viper just says im slow.
