Re: warranty for clutch chatter ??

There is a TSB on this, it's not technically a warranty item but my dealer fixed it for free.

The TSB says change the fluid and add an additive. Had my done a few months ago and I rarely hear any chatter. I've seen posts where others have done this and it didn't take care of the chatter, some even had the clutch packs replaced.

Did you buy used?

Some 2006 Z's had a flywheel problem from the factory that caused clutch chatter.

Not sure that's your problem, but it could be.

Should be covered under warranty if it hasn't been abused.

Let us know what you find out.

Re: warranty for clutch chatter ??

thanks for the responses. cars been at a different dealership for the last 2 weeks, the first dealership said normal noise . but it certainly wasnt.! so i did call the GM help line and found a new dealership to take it to,turns out it needed a new transmission !! bad bearings and a few other issues. they were alot sharper than the first dealer and had another do the same. GM sent a new complete transmission and it is perfect !! GM was very prompt and on top of this for me . i am very impressed with their help. they also knew i had owned 12 corvettes, probably helped..lol
