Weird Phone Call
Around 8 pm last night I receive a phone call at home from a KC Chevy dealership. This is not a dealership I have ever talked to before or done business with.
Anyway, the guy on the phone is a salesman from that dealership and wants to know if I'm interested in a 2006 C6Z06 in silver that just arrived.
I told him "no thanks", I only would consider the new Z in black. Asked him "just out of curiosity, what were they asking pricewise". He said is listed at $5k over MSRP.
Told him thanks for calling but I already have been notified of a build date for my black C6Z06 in August ......at MSRP!
So why was the phone call weird? How did he know to call me? How did he even know who I was?
Not exactly one of the mysteries that will go down through the ages but it did make me curious.
Mike

Mike,
This site is open to the public, your posts say "kansas city", and the link in your sig goes to a magazine article with your full name listed on it.
It wouldn't take much more than for a determined salesman to obtain your phone number.

Mike,
You are such a lovable guy that's why.
As stated above they probably know about your beast through the magazine article.

Are you sure it wasn't Norm calling?
Prank calls from forum members have happened before.
The big dealer on the east coast has seven new Z06's listed as inbound and availalbe, FYI.
