Will the C6 shift knob fit on the C5 shifter?

I'm sure the Aftermarket people already have plans to manufacture several conversion C5 to C6 parts.

I don't really want aftermarket. I'm wondering if some of the folks in the know, like with access to parts lists etc, can tell if the shifter handle will be threaded the same on the C6 thereby letting us use the C6 knob on the C5 shifter.

I'm guessing so, but I don't know if Corvette shifter threading changes from gen to gen, or if it's normally the same.
