If it comes with it from the factory it will probably all ready have the antenna on it. Normally the cars have it right above the rear glass on the roof. It's small and square shapped. Never seen it on a z, but other cars you can get the idea.

I think for 2006 they integrated it into the glass. I'm not sure though.

XM radio antenna in Z 06

Use the magnet base to stick it to the top of the factory radio. This hides it under the dash. The body is plastic so there is no 'shadow' effect. I have driven mine throughout the South and as far north as Indianapolis (USGP) and had no reception problems. I put the XM tuner in the ash tray. Closing the ash tray door hides the unit. Totally sanitary installation.

Correct...in the outside mirrors. Thus, the lousy sound quality! I will not be renewing XM.

The Z does not have an external satellite antenna. I believe that it is mounted as part of the rearview mirror assembly, but I've also seen something about it being somewhere in or around the roll hoop in the rear of the roof. I've never asked though so I'd be interested in the answer.

For 2006 the C6 antenna was located to the side view mirrors.
