XM Satellite problem with an '06?

I have a friend that just got a brand new '06 with the 2LT package. It didn't come with XM, but he wants to add it. The 2 dealers he's been to, plus Circuit City and Sound Advice (Tweeter) have all shied away from doing it. Any ideas why?

Thanks.

You would think a dealer would be all over that. My dealer is all over me about having one installed in the Tahoe. Go figure. Could be a real PITA installing one in a C-6 however.

Do you mean 2LT, or 2LZ (Z06)? If it is a Z06, 2LZ, it comes with XM radio. If it doesn't come with one, the install of a Roady can be pretty easy.

I have mine laying in the consul with an FM transmitter between the Roady and the cigarette lighter, with antenna velcro'd on the trunk deck lip of my 2001 Z06. The whole process took me 1/2 hour. I have to open up the consul to change channels, so it isn't perfect but the cost was zero, and nothing is hanging out, spoiling the look.

It isn't a Z06, so just the 2LT.
