Randy, the 2009 Corvette will debut at the C5/6 Registry Bash, April 24-26, at the NCM.

Hope to see you there!

Re: Z06 - 2009 - Changes

Randy,

If I have my facts right, the 2009 announcement will be at 12 Noon on Saturday, April 26th, at the Bash, as noted. I would think the details will be on the forums very shortly thereafter. I expect that we may see some "reliable rumors" in the day or two before.

Keep in mind that as it stands now if you want Bluetooth you have to take the 3LZ interior. A poor decision on GM's part imo, but there it is. This one seems pretty firm.

Has anyone heard of any changes coming for the 2009 models? I'm undecided as to buying a new '08 model of an '06/'07 with a few miles and save a few bucks. Have a new '08 on the hook for $67.5k and have been watching the auctions on ebay for weeks where nothing is hitting reserve. I also have a friend that goes to the local car auction and has been seeing used ones go for $52 - $58 depending upon miles.

Would appreciate any info from the rumor mill.
Thanks
Hear in P.A auto auctions we have been seeing used ones going for $44 - $47 depending upon miles and con.

Re: Z06 - 2009 - Changes

I just picked up my 08 at the Museum May 20th and it has a place for an MP3 player jack in the radio. I always listen to XM in my car so I don't use it but it's there.

I saw some 09's going through production on our plant tour and the only difference that I noticed was the air foil in back goes all the way across and is painted the same color as the car with the third brake light still in the center.

Also I saw some body panels hanging around painted charcoal which means it might be offered on the 09's although I did see a ZR1 painted that color at the end of the production line. I also saw a blue and a yellow one just after they mated the body with the frame and the brake rotors are monsters making the Z06 rotors look small. The calipers are painted blue on the ZR1, the exhaust looked larger and the dry sump looked different.

I had an 06 Z for two years and my 08 is much more quiet, nicer ride and the cigarette lighter door stays shut.

My 2 cents worth of observations........

Re: Z06 - 2009 - Changes

My 2008 does not have the MP3 / iPod jack as mine has the Sat Nav.....whichever genius decided on not putting the iPod jack into the design of the Sat Nav/CD/DVD player should be taken outside and given a good kicking!
