Z06 is shutting down

Has anyone had problems with the motor shutting off? No dash indicators light up, but still has power to lights stereo etc...It's at the dealer for 2 weeks now and they are still scratching their heads. They thought a fuel pump relay. Any info would be great!

Re: Z06 is shutting down

Check for bad or loose grounds
Check the oil pressure sensor, if defective and reports low oil pressure the PCM will shut down the engine to save it from damage

Re: Z06 is shutting down

I had a friend that had a fuel pump relay go bad. Dealer changed out the fuel pumps only to find out it was the relay. Was a very costly mistake.

Thanks again I am learning more as time goes on. Started out when I got the check charging system. Changed the alternator then starter as they are connected and all was good. Battery about 4 months old it's an AGM type. Anyway when started 14.2-14.5 volts and car runs great. I found out yesterday that after the car is driven and restarted something pulls the voltage down to 13.6 to 13.8 falling below what is needed to run the ignition and injectors it seems. I don't know what it is fans make sense but the car runs great with the fan until turned off. I guess I need to take it in and have diagnostics identify the part. Love the car, had the heads swapped out two years ago and it's awesome. Dying tune has 497hp and similar torque at the wheels. Also love the non run flat Michelin ps2's. love the forums they always help me
