Not really a fair apples to apples compare as many do not know how to drive a PCM controlled supercharger of the LS9 and if they do not then the engine is putting out less HP then the LS7 does as NA.
For drags most do not know how and which auto launch control to use nor do they understand how the PCM is controlling how much boost or torque is allowed as at what RPM
Not many ZR1s sold and far less of them ever see the track so there is not much learning time on extracting the most of the LS9.
Simple tweak of tune allowing higher boost at mid to lower RPMs and learning launch control and the results would be much different.
Just adjusting the conservative torque management GM set for ZR1 would make a decent performance gain in track use.
Full PCM tune of LS9 would gain good 60 plus HP but raises the issues of tire traction even more
ZR1 also uses a 3.42 rear end gear, and there is a difference in each gear ratio of the later 6 speeds then earlier C6s.
Is the 2013 z06 gear ratios different than say a 2007? I though it was the zr1 was different, with 6 sp close ratio. I wouldnt change a single gear on my 08... I dont need a pulling gear past 175 ; ).
