Z51 Coupe - Suspension upgrades ?

I will be getting a Z51 equipped coupe shortly. I want to upgrade the suspension and was looking at a few options.

1. Callaway Coilover package.
or
2. A set of Bilstein shocks and upgraded bushings.

I will not be racing the car except for one or two DE's per year, nothing major, and much more daily driving. I am interested in improving bump steer, wheel hop, better ride control, etc.

Are coilovers worth the heavy price if I will not be racing the car regularly ? Also, will they make the ride more firm and put to much pressure on the mounting positions for daily driving ?

Will option 2 get me a better ride/handling characteristics over the stock Z51 set up for my use ? (with much less cost)
