Orange Peel on C6 Z06

There is a black C6 Z06 for sale at my local Chevy stealership so I went to take a look at it on my lunch break. First of all I couldnt believe that they had it outside on the lot. It was under a tent, but with all the bad storms in this area the past few days, the car looked extremely dirty. There was even some bird droppings on it. Anyway, I took a close look at the paint and couldnt believe how much orange peel there was. It was very noticeable and widespread. Does GM expect us to be satisfied with that kind of a paint job? The paint on my 2003 Z06 looks better. It is smoother, wetter looking, and reflects a sharper image.

Mine is not bad. Black shows all. That car may be a one off... The paint I've seen on many C6Z is okay.

Mine has some orange peel but it isn't that bad. My 05 LB coupe was almost orange pee free. I was amazed.

06 z06 paint quality

C6 Z owners. I am curious about the quality of the paint on the new Corvettes. How does it compare with the c5? I hope they got the orange peel problem fixed.
Thanks

I agree, that C6 is the most orange peel free Vette I have seen in a very long time.

buy an import if you want no orange peel.

orange peel = American made.

I guess you can't have everything. GM got the fast part down, but not the still part. Maybe they're thinking it's the fastest orangepeel in town?
