06 Z06 Tires

My 07 Z06 needs a new set of tires. The OEM Goodyear's are pretty loud in the cabin. Any suggestions?

Replacement tires

07 Z06 with Goodyear F1 Run-Flat Eagles. Not interested in racing. Crusing is my only passion in this car. CAn't hear my girlfriend inside over 50mph. Are non run-flat's a viable option. if looking for quiet ride and better overall performance on dry surfaces

Re: Replacement tires

Mich. announced last month that it would have new tires available in stock C6 Z06 sizes this comming spring. If you can wait, might be worth it.

Re: 06 Z06 Tires

Michelin PS ZP's if you want runflats, Nitto Invo's or Michelin PS or PS2's non-runflat. All above choices are 345/30-19's instead of the stock 325/30-19's stock. Just a little taller, about the same treadwidth.

Why would it be taller? I have always been told the three digit numeric portion identifies the tire's "section width" (cross section) in millimeters. So I would think the 345 would be a few millimeters wider, but still work fine on the 12" wheel.

Re: 06 Z06 Tires

It will be taller. Sidewall height is section width (345 Vs. 325) times aspect ratio (30 Vs. 30). Section width is wider, aspect ratio the same. Therefore taller. They will still fit fine on the 12" wheels.

Re: 06 Z06 Tires

I've had PS2s on my since week one and will stick with them untill something better comes along. I absolutely couldn't stand the tire noise of the OEMs.

Fit no problem, the 345s are taller by almost an inch, calibrate speedo and measure 13.8" wide.

Traction, Fantastic! These are non-run flats so have your AAA card paid up.

Nuff said

I have Nitto Invo's on my car. You can hardly tell the difference.

TEKING: Do you have better dry traction with the Invo's?

Most definitely. Still have some issues ... but that problem is my right foot. Definitely better traction with the Invos.

Re: 06 Z06 Tires

Glad to hear it. My rear Gy's are almost gone, leaning on the Invo's for replacements.

Just keep a tire plug kit and cheap 12V pump in the car.

The first mod I made to my C5 was dumping the runcraps. Still got the kit. Add in a tool to remove the screw/nail, and worst comes to worst, a can of fix a flat.

Oh, and a cell phone and AAA card
