08 Z06 Door Rattles

Has anyone experienced rattle noises coming from the driver's door near the area of the red light (top, rear)? It doesn't rattle on every bump; just when there's a consistent bumpy road to cross. I hate to ask the dealer as I'm afraid they'll take my car practically off-roading to find the noise and they give me that "just wait until it gets louder, then we can pin-point it" answer. Any help/advice is much appreciated!

As a matter of fact, my 07 had a similar rattle. I chased it down to a screw that was somewhat raised in the upper channel that the window slides in to. It caused the glass to rub on the screw. What I did to fix the problem was, take a piece of thin rubber tubing and place it in the upper channel. I then re-indexed the window and all was well.

BTW, the rubber tubing when compressed was about .040" thick.

same on mine 08 z06. It was the "clamp" on the door , grip it and bend it upp and down then you hear a click noise....... bad welding. warranty fix
