1st track day in the Z

I was at Pocono-CSD memorial day w plenty ofther Z's

I was running my race car but I took my Z out and I was very impressed w her

on street tires w coil overs and 550hp I was able to BLOW away a Viper competition coupe and a 360 Challenge race car, I think they were both pretty surprised They were probably not great drivers though

unforetunately my alternator died & my oil temp got up to 265

so she was flat bedded home

For next time I am adding an oil cooler, new wheels w much better rubber, harnesses, and some new seats, maybe OMPs or Caravaggios

nice! I might be wrong, but I thought the Z06 did come with an oil cooler? Or maybe you are talking about a better one?

Yes, I meant I have to upgrade the oil cooler, since its making more power its also running hotter

I also want to add a nice vented C6R style hood

Did you happen to notice a SW C5Z with red stripes and a "pusher propeller" in the instructor ranks?

The engine in the Z is incredibly strong

my 512TR is full race w penske shocks & slicks + full cage 10 point + so its ultra stiff and handles like its on rails

The steering on the Z at 140 + is very touchy, I wish I could back off the power steering a little, I'm sure it will b lots better w slicks & better rotors & pads, harness etc
