About to pull the trigger.

Well, here I am again on the fence.

On Monday, I'll be given the chance to purchase a C6z06 and preference the car the way I wish. The car will be delivered May 2006. It's a car that a previous client ordered 1.5 years ago, but cannot complete due to his financial situtation.

The car is being offered at MSRP to me.

The problem is, I'm happy with my drive now. 2004 Z06 CE.
This opporunity will not repeat itself this year in Toronto, Canada. I hear we will get less than 45 cars. (why so low?) Anyways, I've had the c6 coupe, the C6 'vert and became very disappointed with those cars compared to my Z.

This time, I cannot keep both cars. Just too expensive and the wife will NOT allow it. What to do?

Also, what's the best way to option the car, interior, exterior, seats... etc.??

I get one shot at this tomorrow. Sign up or pass.
-Bill.

If you are happy with the car you own, keep it. If you really want a C6Z, buy it now.

Norm,

You have both a C5z06 and C6z06?

What do you find to be the differences? Why do you have both?
-Bill.

Penalty for waiting - you're stuck with a car you enjoy.
How eager are you to move to the C6Z?
If you pass on this one, you wait 'till the '07 cycle?
Had the deal not come up, would you be actively looking for a C6Z at MSRP?
I think I know what I would do ... but I'm not you.
Your call.

Bill if your happy with the C5 I would keep it. You can always get a C6 Z06 in later model year if you so choose. Who knows, they may increase the HP in the later model years and once the I got to have it crowd gets thiers they should be more available. Bill you should be able to get it MSRP at anytime?

Bill...ya only live once. I do like the power over my C5Z06. It feels tighter inside (as you probably well know), but when you press that "GO" pedal and she squats and hits 125 so fast....It put's a bigger s-eatin on your face than before! My 02Z06 was fast, this beast just blows it away!

Bill:

I've had a ZR1, two differnet C5 Z06's, C6 coupe, and a C6Z.
Favorite? Hands down, the C6Z!

The advantage you have with a Canadian C6Z is the limited quantity available. I wouldn't pass up the opportunity if I were you.

Just my too sense.

1. You had a C6 coupe and vert and were disappointed but the Z is a whole other animal.
2. Were you looking to purchase one before this (so called)
deal came about. To me msrp is not a deal.
3. You love the Z you have now.
4. Its your call, do what makes you happy.
5. Someone called the back window a "greenhouse", are you ok with that.

Do it. The C6 Z is a whole lot more fun than the C5 Z and the C5 Z is a blast in itself. You won't regret the upgrade, especially at MSRP.

Bill, just my opinion but you don't sound too enthusiastic about the C6Z. It seems most people are saying go for it, so I'll offer the devil's advocate's position on the matter.

Your '04 Z06 CE is worth $40K-ish, and a new C6Z06 is stickered around $65K (USD). If it's worth spending a MINIMUM of an extra $25,000 then I say go for it. Otherwise, enjoy what you already have. Many people here are envious of your current car, believe me. Let us know what you decide to do. Good luck on the decision.

Bill,as one who has owned both a C5Z and the C6Z,I'd definitely do it-the new Z is that much more powerful and refined than the previous version!Just my .02.
