Went to Andy's yesterday for a baseline, a set of ARH headers anda tune...Took advantage of Andy's sale on the headers and the wizardry of Charlie of A&A...Andy did 2 baselines that were almost identical, the best of 461 HP and 428 TQ...I was kind of surprised as Andy's dyno has been known to be about 3% lower than other dynos in the area...You do the math !!! After few more pulls Charlie pulled the stock restrictive element out to see what it would do and it picked up an additional 6hp...Anyway after the element went back in and with another tweek, he ended up with 486 HP and 460 with the stock element and the ARHs, nothing else...Checking the numbers on the graph, the torque was at least 19 up thru the range with a high of 35...You can feel the torque all the way through, along with the power, sweeeeeeeeeeeet...
Sounds better than I expected, I expected louder but did not want it so...Very very pleased...Thanks to Andy, Charlie and the guys at A&A...
I had raced my Z16 after a couple of hundred miles and the C6Z pulled it pretty well...The C6Z now has 1100 miles I will race them again soon and post some results...Should be a nice comparison...
I would appreciate some comments...
Greg

I just bought my 07 and it's on the transport from Indiana right now. I'm thinking about doing a cam, headers-no cats and a tune. I'm hoping for 500 or more rwhp. I will be taking it to A&A if I do decide to mod it. Just not sure if I want to void that 100k warranty. I know the cam would most likely void it but would just headers with cats??
I had headers, intake, tune done and it does make a very noticeable difference. It's pretty loud without cats though at above 3500 rpm when the valves in the exhaust open. Too loud for me for street use.
By the way, mine has the cats...The power is noticeable and it dows pull harder and certainly revs faster, but I would say that the torque is more noticeable...It is much louder and full throttle but quite nice at cruising speeds...When I drove it up there I took out the fuse, hoping the car would not be that loud after the headers...It was not...Charlie also took out a few other things like stopping how the engine kinda runs along when backing out of the throttle at slow speeds, % of fan, cags etc...He also said the factory tune is different between the 06 & 07...When I race the Z16 soon I prove it either way...I will check the curve and post Jub Jub...

So stock to headers only gained you 25 rwhp. What did the tune get you? Or did the "tweek" mean the 25 rwhp gain included the headers and tune?
If anyone needs pricing, IM me and I will let you know, or you can call Andy...He will treat you right...
It ended up with a 25 HP & 32 TQ gain with the headers and tune...The gain is all the way through the rpm range...The torque gain was a minimum of 19 to 35 gain through the rpms...32 is the peak gain...
zich6, I really didnt' consider anything else...I have LGs on my 04 and am quite happy with them...I just really wanted something that sounded much much better...This C6Z stock, sounds like a sewing machine, and if you pull the fuse it sounds like my old Seadoos in the water when it idles...I'm very happy with the sound...Again, Andy's dyno traditionally reads low by 3%...If you do the math on 486 and 3%, it computes to 500 !!!
