B&B fusion

hi guys,
just made the jump from the c5 to the c6 a few days ago .....
wanting to know if anyone has the B&B fusions on an otherwise stock exhaust ( no LT's). i had the bullets on the c5 , and was hoping that the fusions would be just as loud when opened up.
Does anyone know?
Thanx

Re: B&B fusion

Tonight I saw a C6Z that had just had the B&B fusion exhaust installed (along with some other goodies).

Frankly, I didn't like the exhaust sound, but to be fair, there were several other folks there and they appeared to like it.
It is sharp looking, I'll give it that much!

Mike

*edit* Sorry, I just reread your post and realize this is not applicable. This car had a Procharger and headers as well.

Re: B&B fusion

To me, they seemed very mellow. In fact, too mellow for my taste.

Again to be fair, the Procharger, exhaust, headers, etc had just been installed and I heard the car at idle and, for a moment, out on the street while they (MC Racing) was doing a drivability test. They didn't go WOT or anything so I don't know what that sounds like. Maybe it's much better.

At idle, the exhaust didn't sound throaty to me at all. It sounded more 'putt-putt' then I care for. A few others however, did like the sound so perhaps it's just me.

ok ... so i just talked to B&B today ... they said that as of 6 weeks ago .... they changed the design a bit on the fusion because people said they were not loud enough (probably bullet fans like myself) and now they are pretty much just a strait 3" open pipe when the valve is open .... got mine in today .... we will see when they are on....
Thanx

Please let us know how loud they are when you get them on. I have an early Fusion and they're not loud like Bullets, even thought the B&B guys say they are. Very interested to see if there's a noticable change in the "revised design". I do think they're the best choice out there, just wish they were louder when open.

well, when looking in the open side through the tailpipe ..... you can see that it's an open pipe ... they say ... because they have opened the pipe up all together ... thats all they could do to make them loud.
i still do not believe they will be loud just based on everyones reaction to them so far. i guess we will see. it's an expensive lesson to learn if they suck.
i'll let you know.

also,
i do not have LT's .... i wonder how much of a volume difference there would be with LT's on the c6? any way of discribing it? like , " if the fusions with LT's are a ten in volume .... then they would be an ?? without" ?
i have read where the c6 z stock set up is essentially like having headers in comparison to the c5 z. is this true?

Re: B&B fusion

I got my (new, revised) fusions installed today, and they are very loud when open, (almost as loud as the stocks open, when closed) but way too much drone. Going for the X-Pipe today...
