Best Dealer For A Deposit On A 07 Z06 Is.........?

First off congratulations to everybody who has taken delivery of the awsome 06 Z06 and to all who wait patiently(I'll admit i'm a bit jealous but i'll get over it ). Just to clairify i had a very low deposit number for a 06 Z06 which i'd be driving right now but decided to wait for a 07 and get the deposit back with no problems at all. So it brings me to this: If you could do it all over again what dealer would get your hard earned cash and why. I'm partial to Rick Daniel as i purchased my 02 from Rick when he was over at Maxi Price and was treated very well. This time I will definitely do museum delivery as my 02 was not and I always wanted to do this and hopefully see the car being built. I'm posing this question to see what other dealers offer from buyers experiences.I will not pay over sticker for this car. P.S. even though i'd love to have a 06 the 07 is the one for me it will give me time to get my finances together and have something to really look foreward to. I guess you could say i've got vette fever all over again. Greg

Blanchard, OK has a chev dealer (Knipp.) which is where I bought my last two. Glueck chev. is another. I would trust either or with a deposit.

I would say give Rick Daniels a call at Les Stanford

Jump on Jason Walter's list with Ross Downing (a supporting dealer). My Z06 is built and should be shipped soon and I was about 5th on his list. Jason and Ross Downing have been great to work with and this is my 2nd Z from them.

Good luck,

2Charmed

Will we more than likely be able to get it at MSRP for an '07? Will it remain the same as the '06?

Depends on the dealer regarding MSRP i personally would only give a deposit to a dealer who sells at MSRP. I do know that GM most always does mild price increases during a model year. That being said the 07 car more that likely will be slightly more expensive than the 06 model. The main reasons I will wait for a 07 model are: Getting possible bugs worked out by GM and save up some cash to buy this beast.Greg

Your reasoning is sound here,as someone has already pointed out on other threads...Look at the improvements in the Z from 01 to 02

As For RIck Daniels.... Two Thumbs Up He Is The Best !

The best "dealer" for a Corvette is a "Corvette Dealer". Don't work with a small dealer with a small or no allocation. Trust only the established Corvette dealers.

I'm in a major delimma right now regarding who's 07 list to get on.I can get on a large allocation dealer(one of the big three) but be in the high 200 for a position or i can go with a smaller vendor(who gets 30 to 35 z's a year) and get a much much lower position. I might just get on 2 lists but i'm tying up $2000 which i'm not sure i want to do. Oh the pain! What to do? Greg

You may not have 2k tied down. From my experience, not all dealers cash your check. Its only cashed once the car arrives at which point it'll be used towards a down payment. I've been in contact with some dealers and one is asking for 500 to be put on their list for 07.
