Best rwhp on new Z?

We know that the advertised ratings are 500 hp / 475 lb*ft for the new Z.

Where it will really count is the actual power that gets put to the wheels. What do you guys predict that the best dynos will come out to be for a stock '06 Z?

Mine is 430 rwhp/ 415 rwtq.

Well, good question. If you are asking the best as in "highest" hp at rear wheels you will have to wait until every one dynos here cars. But I have one of the few C5 Z06 that posted high numbers completely stock. So if I work backwards from there. I got 375 rwhp, so 375/405= 0.9259-1=.074%. So 500 x 0.74= 37 - 500 = 462 rwhp. All depending on dyno used, weather, blah, blah, blah. That may be realistic for one that posts high numbers.

375RWHP from a bone stock C5 Z06 certainly suggests that someone needs to recalibrate their dyno.

375RWHP out of a stock Z06, dyno needs recalibrating, operator didn't setup correctly or used the wrong factors, or the Z06 has been modded in some way without the owner knowing.

As Caveman pointed out, the most optimistic loss of HP would be 15%. However, I've seen cars like Inifiniti G35C MY03 that was loosing alot more HP (close to 20%) by the time it was getting to RW. But Z seem to be very efficient.

I'll be generous to GM and say they're underrating the Z06 @500bhp. 450rwhp on the dyno.

I think it was posted to be 512 actual and so I just took 13% from that. 445. The C5 Z is rated 405 so take 13% and you get around 352 which is about right in most cases.

My stock Z06 did 350 RWHP and with modded air intake did 372
My stock Viper GTs did 424 RWHP and with modded air intake did 436.
I hope they are underestimating the power on the C6 Z.

I suspect they will underrate it just like they do with the Viper. Nobody wants to end up like the ill-fated 1999 Mustang Cobra. My car is factory rated at 500 HP & 525 TQ and dyno'ed at 464.0 RWHP and 504.0 RWTQ: Click here for 2005 SRT-10 Dyno

450rwhp, 440rwtq is my guess.

(but they will probably range between 430-455rwhp!)
