Billy Boat Fusion Exhaust

i'm looking for exhaust system for my 08 Z. i found Billy Boat fusion which uses the same valves idea as the factory exhaust. anyone using this system? how do you like the sound and power campared to other brands?
coz i'm not familiar with billy boat, can we compare the quality of billy boat exhausts to other brands like Corsa or Borla ?

You might try sending a PM to member "Eudlose". He has the Fusion system installed on his C6Z. I saw and heard it at Winterfest II and it sounds very good. IMHO, Billy Boat builds high quality all stainless products and are very customer service oriented. They are in Phoenix.

I recently installed the B&B Fusion on my '08 Z...had B&B Rt.66 on my '07 Coupe and loved it. Without a doubt the best looking system for the $$...

Corsa looks terrible from behind in my opinion... exposed un-finished mufflers hang low and are an eye sore...these B&B's are high polished and the mufflers being smaller are tucked up higher and not as visible...the tips are a large 4" design and they DO NOT advertise there name on them..nice clean look! Now add in the 'mild to wild' switch and you have the best of both worlds...quite or loud at your finger tips!

I am very pleased with the outcome here and I hope this helps!

Just saw a C6Z last week with the Corsa's and it looked and sounded very good IMHO. Afraid I'm gonna have to disagree with your statement above about Corsa

Re: Billy Boat Fusion Exhaust

I am totally happy with the fusions. I really like the ability to quiet it down in 6th. Some of the other systems have a more agressive sound but you can't shut 'em up. That fact alone is worth going B&B IMHO. I got to tour their plant here in Phoenix where they were installed. Quit am impressive facility. Here's a couple vids:

At idle
On the rollers

This car has a few more goodies on it now, but it sounded pretty sweet stock too.

So far, I only noticed a significant difference in sound. The Fusions have a deeper note than stock and you get that burbing sound with flaps open upon decel...added the mild to wild switch so I could control it...nice feature!

As far as noticable power difference, not sure about that as these Z's are so powerful already it is hard to tell when just stabbing the throttle through the first couple of gears...but the sound is much more agressive and that is what I was after...added bonus is the great looking 4 inch polished tips and hidden muffler affect...I will post a couple of pic's later...have to take a couple first!

No other engine mods added yet. To new and I want to get a couple thousand miles on it before I head to the dyno/tuner shop!

Here is a very interesting read on B&B Fusions...although from a neighboring Forum, it is a great effort by this guy to display the questions about this exhaust system....hope I am not breaking any forum rules by posting this info here...anyway, check it out!

Re: Billy Boat Fusion Exhaust

I just recently installed the fusion system on my car, I also installed the x-pipe and the mild to wild switch. I really love the system and the fact it you can open and close it at will makes it better yet. When cruising at low rpm it's actually better to have butterflies closed, it eliminates the exhaust drone. I considered other systems but happy I chose the fusion system.

Re: Billy Boat Fusion Exhaust

mmm... Corsa, I think, sounds exactly how a corvette should sound. I had the Corsa Indy setup on a 04 C5Z, and it was fantastic. Corsa is going on the 06 C6Z right now. Maybe thats just me though.
