Notice that they are saying the pistons will be FORGED versus the earlier reports of being cast.

Thanks for the link. What an awesome car. I can't wait to see one in person.
So far I think it looks a lot better than the standard C6, but I still like the look of C5 Z better. I guess it will take some time to grow on me. As far as the price - it is, most likely, out of my league (at least for a couple of years, if not longer).

As good as many other cars are, this Vette Z06 really does have dry sump oiling and coolers for every major component, just like a race car. Very few street cars at any price are so well outfitted.

The eight separate brake pad thing sounds weird, though. How many aftermarket companies will make pads for this thing?

Still, amazing.

Sounds like an awesome car - I want to see the first warranty repairs denied because the "car has been operated in high throttle conditions".

The spec is a race car for the streets - are the GM dealerships ready to step to support such a fantastic car?

All depends on the DEALER !!! Some of us have a good relationship with a dealer on warranty work with our Z06's, some don't!

I make sure NOT to ask the dealer to cover any items that are worn due to "Tracking the Z06" on road courses. Good judgement goes a long way when asking GM to cover repairs!

56 mm intake valve, thats a 2.20" valve, .008" bigger than anything currently used in a nascar 800 hp v8. None of this crap can be believed.
