Atleast I am giving a reference where it states the "Z06" lapped the N-ring in 7:40, where you on the other hand, keep on insisting 7:43 without ANY kind of proof.
If you don't have any kind of evidence to your claim that you can prove to us all by posting, then quit yapping your mouth in trying to sound so confident that the Z06 did it in 7:43 over and over again, will ya?..
The time is 7:40, and that’s for the 2006 Z06. There is NO reason to believe that the car is anything different, if you’ve seen the Z06 in its latest protection trim, this is exactly what it looks like.
Andym: Where is your proof of 7:43?? Where is your basis in the “blue devil” running 7:40 and the base car running 7:43? I don’t see any.
Fadi just posted all the proof one can ask for, my providing a published time by and independent tester, not a rumor.
It's a German plot trying to get back at us for WWII! Jan Magnusson's family was being held hostage and the guy in the passenger seat was just there to make sure he didn't break 7:40....
The problem here is the faster you go the higher your cost per second. If the Z06 did 7:30 it would be more expensive per second!!!
Using speed would give the result you want. The speeds would be 106.2, 100.5, 99.2, 99.0, and 97.7 respectively after rounding. The $$$ per mph are $4,142, $746, $1,015, $3,225, and $1,934 respectively. The effect is to reduce the advantage vs. faster cars and increase it vs. slower ones.
Guess which one is the Z06.
Using 460 seconds and $70k for the C6Z, the number would be $692.
You are correct, I had it bass ackwards.
If we set the CGT as the baseline car defined as Seconds/Dollar = 1
then the C6 Z06 is six times more effective. In other words, the cost of the Z06 is 83% less than the CGT, yet it is only 6% slower. I hope this makes more sense. In essence, the Z06 is more effective per dollar spent..
According to the post, there are two production cars in the world that beat or tie the new Z. There is nothing to be ashamed of. The "Gembella" car sounds very odd--why not send a Lingenfelter C6 Z06 over there? The new Z will be a real production car--the Carerra GT, SLR and the "Gembella" Porsche are "borderline" production cars, at best.
