We have all had a chance to see the pre production C6 Z06 show cars in person, in the literature and on the web.
We have also had the opportunity to absorb and analyse the pre production data and some of us have even received official GM/Chevy literature concerning the new car and proposed Standard Equipment and Option Packages.
Above all, most members on this site have had actual experience owning a C5 Z06. Some of us on this site have already had direct input in the design phase of the car and Chevy has incorporated some of those suggestions.
This is a chance and a rare opportunity for YOU, a member of Z06vette.com to have a last chance influence on the car, pre production. Chevy frequently views this site and values our input.
I have been asked by a friend of mine who is in Corporate Level Management at GM to conduct an unofficial C6 Z06 pre production survey on this site, to ellicit your feelings, concerns and expectations of the C6 Z06 until March 15, 2005. This is a big chance for us and I respect GM for doing this. The results of the survey will be monitored and will be mailed to GM/Chevy after March 15, 2005
Here are the rules:
Please indicate your LIKES and DISLIKES about the NEW C6 Z06.
WHAT would you ADD or DELETE and WHY?
Offer constructive criticism only.
If someone has already covered your topic suggestion, be sure that you add your consent on the topic as well.
Basically, be constructive, nice, professional....and realistic.
DO NOT discuss the C5, C5 Z06 or C6 except in relevance to the C6 Z06.
DO NOT complain about the C5, C5 Z06 or C6
DO NOT discuss any previous Dealer or Warranty issues.
Do NOT discuss past or future price.
Any of the "DO NOT" posts will be deleted.

1. Above all else, make it near the price of the c5z, i.e. 58k starting. Otherwise history may repeat itself (ZR-1).
2. Improve the seats. The bolstering appears the same as the c5z. If you use these seats to accomodate the more "portly" owner, then at least have a "race" seat option. I'd pay $500 extra for sparco-like seats.
3. Perform these polls more often! Again, kudos on this survey.
Add racing seat shoulder harness reliefs in the Z06 seat as you have done in the sport seat.
It is a gross understatement not to provide this as the Z06 sees the track more often than a C5 or C6 with the sport seats. Since the Z06 seats use the same frame as the sport seats with the "cutouts" already available it should not be too difficult to make this styling change.
I would like to see the rear window changed back to the C5 rear window. Or at the very least make it an option. I would also like to see colours that are Z06 specific. Thanks for the chance to give or opinions.

Reason: add on
I saw the car at the LA show & I'm impressed. I do wish it retained the current Z's back glass though. G.M. please do not up the H.P. on the 07 & force me to start modding the 06 I plan on buying.
Would like to see it offered with the old FRC design, I do not like the coupe style.
Offer the sport seats as an option
Re-design the headlights, and make them retractable.
Offer some options on rear axle ratio, 3.73 and 3.90 would be nice! Other than these few gripes, the car is very well thought out and should be an outstanding performer.
