The dealer says the clutch shudder is the norm. None of my other Z's did this . The clutch may have stuck a few times on the '01, but not shudder as this one does.
I love this car already and not ready to park back at the dealer while they try to figure out what's going on.
Is there any adjustments on the clutch engagement?
I need to do something first thing in the am.

Is clutch shudder common on stock clutches with 4,000mi?

I have a
slight shudder as well under certain conditions - can't tell if it's the powertrain mount tuning or the clutch. Mostly around 1000 RPM engagement. I can avoid it with a few more revs - but it is noticeable. I've had other GM products (02 Z06 included and 2 other c5's) - no trace of shudder.
There is a recall as stated - but mine is
allegedly outside the VIN range.
I beleive This clutch has no external adjustment - in fact it may be self-adjusting. I recall working with this type of clutch on the SSR 6.0L Ls2 program- we had some issues with the self-adjust running away on some of them when working with early prototypes. The usual issue was the opposite - you could not get the clutch to
disengage.
