CA plated "Fast 06"

I got the letter from the DMV today stating that my custom plates are ready to be picked up, but I have to surrender my current plates for them... problem is I've not received my "current plates" from the DMV yet! So I have to wait til I get my standard sequential plates before I can pick my new ones up.

Mine will be: BAMZ06 (Brittany/Andrea/Mike). In the orange and red custom plate.

So I guess the DMV is still functioning? I ordered my plates a very long time ago (end of October), and still no letter to pick them up. Oh, well.

That's about when I ordered mine, so you should be getting your notice soon, I would guess.

BTW, how did you copy and paste that plate? I tried it off their site when you choose them, but it wouldn't copy the whole thing.

When I got all the way to the order confirmation page, it shows me the plate in a PNG image which I can right-click and "Save As". But if you are just trying to copy the image from the "Configure personalized plate" page, you have to do the following:

1) Configure your plate and confirm the preview image is the plate you want
2) Press ALT-PRTSCRN to copy the active window to the Windows buffer (I'm assuming you're using Windows)
3) Launch MS Paint (Start --> Run --> mspaint.exe --> Click "OK")
4) Paste the image into MS Paint (CTRL-V)
5) Crop out all the unwanted stuff and retain just the plate image and then save that as a JPG (or PNG).
6) Post the image to a webhost or webserver and then link to it.

If you have any problems, let me know which plate you want and what configuration and I'll do it for you. Takes about 2 minutes.

Ordered my plates in Sept and finally got them in December after waiting 13 weeks.

I would call them. I don't think it's manditory, but it is suggested to turn in your current plates. Unless they changed the rules in the last month or two since we got ours for the trucks.
