Cast or Forged Pistons

My new autoweek says cast again. For a while I thought that Forged was the deal. Can someone who knows comment. The GM spec I saw posted said Forged?

It's seems to me that if they are going to use Titanium rods then why cheap out and use cast pistons. Forged pistons do have drawbacks though such as noise especially during cold startup.

According to GM's official release, the pistons are forged.

My feeling is that the original info on the cast pistons is correct and the latter stated "forged" was a misprint or misinformation.
